droped

I just got my desktop that i put togeather online an orderd like a month ago. I have it set up on my dinning room table just to make sure everything is working how it should. Its a awesome base to start building my new gammer. It has a AMD athlon 64 x2 3.11ghz with a foxcon motherbored. Not a bad computer for 400 with shipping an xp included. All it really needs is a awesome grafics card and it will be ready to game. Well my dad was starting to put away all out xmas decorations away an triped on my power cored to the tower an it came slamming down in the floor. I thought forsure that my harddrive was done for!!!! But to my surprize everything was ok.....well atleast untill i started to overclock my cpu an fried it!!! ahhhh it my fault for not being careful an pushing it to 5ghz, when i was tryin for 3.5ghz!!!!!!! Well aleast you all will know that it wont handle 5ghz! As if you didnt know already.
Im not sure if im goin to put the same processor in or if im goin to move up to a phenom.?.? I dont really know to much about the x4 phenom, cuz i havent used one or messed with it myself. All i know is that its new tech. an that new tech. always has bugs an intel is way to much $$$$.
